Cicely Mary Barker first released The Flower Fairies poems in 1923, with each fairy dedicated to the care of their chosen flower. The Acorn Fairy is dressed in an orange tunic with green tights and an acorn cup hat, holding an acorn and sitting on an oak twig. A fun craft project for confident crafters and more experienced needle felters.
This needle felt character kit is ideal for confident crafters with some needle felting experience, with full colour step by step instructions to make your own magical fairy. Once made, these fabulous characters can be used in your nature displays and celebrations.

3 Felting needles (1 x #40 fine, 2 x #38 medium)
Eco Wool Felting Mat (made from recycled wool and 100% compostable)

You will also need: Clear drying glue, bowl of warm water and towel or tissue, scissors (for cutting felt, water soluble paper, wool and wire—for the latter you may prefer wire cutters), soft pencil, light pink pencil, felt tip pen or fine liner, small sewing needle suitable for seed beads.
