With a gentle soap base and enriched with olive oil and lanolin, this handcrafted wool soap nourishes and protects the wool fibres, keeping your woollies feeling soft and smelling amazing.
What is lanolin?
Lanolin is a natural waxy substance produced by a sheep to make its fleece waterproof, breathable, and aid temperature regulation. When the wool is removed during shearing, the natural lanolin is stripped by detergents during washing. Give back the natural superpowers of wool to your woollen garments by using a gentle wool care soap enriched with lanolin.
How to use Poppets wool wash soap:

Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water, enough to cover your wool wrap or garment. No hotter than 30 degrees.
Rub the soap bar between your hands in the water until the water turns milky.
Submerge the woollen item and leave it to soak for 30 mins.
For spot cleaning, gently rub the soap bar directly on the wool to lift any marks.
Lightly rinse the wool.
For wool nappy covers, this is the perfect time to lanolise with Poppets pure lanolin.
To dry, gently squeeze out excess water, then lay the wool flat on a dry towel. Roll the towel up to remove additional moisture. Finally, lay the wool flat or hang it to dry.
