The PlanToys wooden parking garage has been given some extra eco credentials, such as solar panels above an electric charging station for hybrid or electric cars. Made from rubber wood, this wooden car garage has 3 levels, a working elevator and even a helipad!
Whizz the colourful cars up and down the ramps, using the black twist disc to move the elevator lift up or down to meet the car at the right level, then move the lift up or down to another parking level. The chunky black knob to operate the lift is easy for little hands to use, and children will delight in watching or working out how the pulley system works. Don’t forget to recharge your electric or hybrid car at the electric car charging point – on a sunny day the solar panels will be supplying lots of renewable energy! We love how this PlanToys Parking Garage is making these renewable sources the norm for everyday life.

PlanToys use rubber wood from trees that no longer produce latex and would otherwise be burnt. They also create some toys from ‘eco Planwood’ which is made from another waste product, the roots of the rubber trees. This sustainable wood source is then kiln dried without the use of chemicals, glued together with PlanToy’s own e-zero formaldehyde free glue and dyed with water based dyes to create a wonderful selection of eco friendly wooden toys.
