This Lanka Kade Deluxe Noah’s Ark & 24 Natural Characters is a super-sized, solid wood Noah’s Ark. It’s an amazing toy with lots of animals to enjoy and will be treasured by children for years to come.
It makes an extra special Christening gift or class toy and is big enough to be played with by several children at a time. This wooden Noah’s Ark comes apart, allowing children to store their animals inside and play with it in various ways, and comes with eleven animal pairs and Noah and his wife. Children will enjoy leading on the pairs of chimpanzees, whales, tigers, pandas, lions, camels, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, elephants and doves onto the ark, two by two and acting out the famous Biblical tale of Noah and the flood.
This fair trade Noah’s ark has been handcrafted in Sri Lanka from sustainably forested rubber wood. Left mostly unpainted, save for some brown detailing, the grain of the wood gives a rich character to the pieces. This eco Noah’s ark is a timeless piece and will be enjoyed at home and is suitable for nurseries, play groups, Sunday schools and churches too.
As the heirloom quality ark can be taken apart, the top section can be used separately as a barn for Lanka Kade farm animals too. The animals are all from Lanka Kade’s natural wooden animals set and can be added to over the years. This traditional toy will promote children’s counting and communication skills – ask your child as they play what the animals are, encourage them to count the animals in pairs, discuss where in the world the animals live and the imitate the sounds they make. Placing the pieces will develop fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
