This Elephant Box Prep & Store Box is made from 304 (18/8) grade stainless steel with a toughened glass lid, giving you a clear view of your food. 100% leakproof with a valved vacuum seal, your food is staying fresh and it certainly isn’t going anywhere!
We’ve all been taught that metal can’t go in the microwave, but this Prep & Store box is oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Rigorously tested (with no microwaves being harmed in the process) the type of steel, combined with the smooth and rounded shape of the boxes, means they will not cause sparking and are safe to use in the microwave.
This medium size of the Elephant Box Prep & Store Box has a 1.8 litre capacity, great for storing meals for two or a few snacks. Made from 304 grade super durable stainless steel, this lunch box is non-reactive, meaning it won’t interact with or leach any toxins into your food, even when heated. The borosilicate glass lid lets you see inside, but is also resistant to high temperatures and therefore is oven safe (but not microwavable).
Safety: 

Do not use in older 915 Mhz Microwaves.

We advise washing all parts with warm soapy water before you use them for the first time.

Any major dents or deep scratches could make it unsuitable for the microwave, get in touch if you’re not sure.

Do not place any cutlery or foil with the boxes in the microwave, as these will cause sparking.

Avoid contact with any metal surface when microwaving, including a metal plate, metal racks or the microwave wall, this can cause sparking or burn marks on the box.

Use microwaves up to and including 1000W.

The box will be hot when you remove it from the microwave so you might want to use oven gloves or a tea towel to protect your hands.
