The PlanToys Mandala Set is a lovely relaxing mindfulness activity for children and adults. The PlanToys Mandala Set includes a circular cloth play base, 60 mandala pieces in a range of shapes and pastel colours and a cotton storage bag. Part of the PlanToys Better Aging range, promoting the benefits of play between children and senior family members, and supporting physical, emotional, social and cognitive performance as we age. These toys have been designed as suitable for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients.
Relaxing and meditative, the PlanToys Mandala Set will help reduce tension and improve concentration. When creating a mandala, pieces are first placed in the centre and gradually expand outwards following a symmetrical pattern. There’s no right or wrong way to make a mandala, simply follow your own creative path and see what happens. For those who prefer to follow a pattern, there’s a handy guidance sheet with examples to follow. The pieces can be added flat following the concentric rings on the play base or built up into 3D structures. This is a wonderful activity for exploring creativity and developing fine motor skills, visual perception, decision making and concentration. The play base makes a great travel mat, keeping your mandala pieces confined while you’re out and about.
The wooden mandala pieces are made from solid natural reclaimed rubberwood and painted using water-based dyes. Team up with other Better Aging games from the PlanToys range at Babipur, fun for the whole family.
